Our Operations
Akademiska sjukhuset is one of Sweden's leading university hospitals and offers both regional and highly specialized care to approximately two million inhabitants. The Department of Quality and Patient Safety is the hospital's central resource for quality development and serves as a link between the needs of care and various support and data functions.
Your Mission
The healthcare sector generates large amounts of data every day – but the potential is not fully utilized. In this role, you will work to:
- develop effective and secure data flows
- reduce manual handling and double registration
- improve data quality and accessibility
- enable better follow-up, analysis, and quality development
You will be a key person in a cross-professional team and work closely with both operations and other support functions. In this role, you have a great opportunity to influence as you help shape how work methods, solutions, and priorities develop over time.
Your Main Tasks:
Data Flows & Registers
- Drive the work to improve and streamline data flows from care systems to national quality registers
- Support the implementation of automated data transfer and structured data collection
Collaboration & Coordination
- Be the hospital's contact point towards Region Uppsala and national actors such as SKR, Inera, and register platforms like UCR and INCA
- Collaborate with IT, business development, and healthcare professionals
Analysis & Quality Development
- Contribute to data-driven follow-up, analysis, and improvement work
- Create better conditions for using quality data in management and governance
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an engineering degree or other relevant post-secondary education in IT, data, or equivalent. You have good knowledge of SQL and database management and/or data modeling, as well as very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing. You are analytical, solution-oriented, and have an easy time collaborating. You can explain technical issues in a pedagogical way and thrive in the intersection between technology and operations.
Meritorious are:
- Experience in data, informatics, or analysis work within healthcare
- Experience with BI tools, reports, and dashboards
- Experience with quality registers or operational follow-up
